Médaille Commémorative Prince Albert 1er de Monaco

Créée en 1948 par Nicolas Bendall Manley la Médaille Albert Ier (ou grande médaille) est attribuée en alternance à un scientifique français ou étranger à l’apogée de sa carrière et ce, sans considération de nationalité. Nicolas B. Manley (dit Manley-Bendall) fut un administrateur de sociétés, vice-président de la Société d’Océanographie de France aujourd'hui dissoute, et membre correspondant de l’Académie de Marine.
